February Society Day

The February Society day was held at Antrobus, a privately run course over towards Warrington but right before you get that far. The day started off a bit damp underfoot, but once we set off around the fairways the sun came out and it turned in to quite a bright day. Antrobus is a nice course, though its nicer in the summer so they say, and is challenging given the number of dog-legs, water hazards, sand pits around the place (and they still make those round holes in the flattish cut grass areas too small). 

The competition was our normal Individual Stapleford Competition. This was a relatively high scoring day, with every one taking advantage of their new Handicaps. The overall results were as follows;-

1st   Henry Becket   39 points

2nd  Steve Crayford     36 points

3rd   Graham Almond   33 points (on a count back)

4th   Neil McNay  33 points

There was a complete change about in the side comps, with;-

The Longest Drive was driven by Phil "thank you James for only playing an iron" Wright

and

The nearest Nearest-the-Pin ball was positioned by Steve Crayford.

The Random Card draw was not held.

The Two's was won by Phil Wright haveing got a '2'.
