June Society Match Day

The third Society Day of 2008 Summer Season  saw 24 members venture yet again through the Mersey Tunnel, this time to a course new to the Society, namely Beacon Park Golf Club. We only turned up at the course in preference to Frodsham  and return to the Mersey Valley course where we have played once before.

Unfortunately not too much time has passed since the event so our intrepid reporter cannot remember many more details.

Highest Stapleford score Andy Langley with 40 points (slipping there Andy, only 40) closely followed by James Arathoon on 35 points with Ralph Vaughan very close behind on 34 points. In the end 10 of the 24 members gained 30 or more points which given the conditions of the day was quite an achievement.

The Longest Drive was driven by Nigel “F!!kinGet In” Hall,

 ahead of Neil “man of few words (or broken pencil)” McNay and

The nearest Nearest-the-Pin ball was positioned by James “Woohoooo!” Arathonn
